Srinagar, May 13 (KNO): While the poll body claimed to have made adequate arrangements to ensure smooth voting in Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, some of the voters in the interiors of Dal Lake here faced immense hardships as the polling booths were set up in the congested localities. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), several polling booths in Zadibal Assembly Constituency including 58- Moti Mohalla-A, 59 Moti Mohalla-B and 60 Kath Mohalla and Chinga Mohalla,, the voters had to face immense hardships as the booth was set up inside the congested lanes and in the premises of some buildings. There was hardly a way to reach the polling booth as the congested area was not giving any favour to the security personnel and the polling officers here to conduct their duties normally. A visit to these polling booths was a different experience amidst the enthusiasm of voting across Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency as this was the only place, where a queue of electorates was not expected, thereby leaving the voters to suffer. The voters as well as the security personnel deputed at the polling stations stated that the polling booths should be set up at open location where there would be no jumbling and smooth voting will be ensured—(KNO)
